TWIST COOKIES 

4 eggs

1 ¼ cup sugar

½ cup oil

4 ½ cups flour

4 tsp baking powder

1 tsp vanilla

1 egg beaten with a touch of oil

Sesame seeds

 

1.        Mix all dried ingredients together in a large bowl

 

2.        Add to wet ingredients to bowl and begin to mix very well with both hands.  You can try with a spoon but it gets too hard to mix.

 

3.        When mixed thoroughly – start to knead for just about 5 minutes

 

4.        Pull off some of the dough about the size of a golf ball, and on the counter roll out about the thickness of a thick pencil and just about as long if not a little longer.

 

5.        Fold in half and twist.


 

Lay into greased tray…until all twists have been made…brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds.  Pop in the oven and just start to watch a around the 20 minute mark…you don’t want them too light but just dark enough.
